Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Mammatus Weather Web. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Early Access service

Mammatus Weather Web is an Early Access product under active development. Features, data sources, products, designs, performance, limits, and availability may change. We may add, modify, suspend, replace, or remove functions at any time, including features previously available during Early Access. We may also correct errors or discontinue all or part of the service. Early Access may contain bugs, interruptions, incomplete features, or inaccurate output.

Weather-information disclaimer

The service is provided for informational and situational-awareness purposes. It is not an emergency-alert service and must not be your sole source for decisions involving life, safety, aviation, marine operations, transportation, property, or other high-risk activity. Weather observations, radar, satellite imagery, model guidance, alerts, and derived products may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, misaligned, or inaccurate. Always consult official sources, including the National Weather Service, local authorities, and emergency services. Never delay protective action because of information shown—or not shown—in Mammatus.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. Authentication and account interfaces are provided by Clerk and are also subject to applicable Clerk terms and policies. We may restrict or terminate accounts used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently, or in violation of these Terms.

Subscriptions, billing, and Early Access pricing

The currently offered Early Access subscription is $1.99 per month and renews monthly until cancelled. Users who begin an eligible Early Access subscription at $1.99 per month may retain that subscription price while that same subscription remains continuously active. Cancelling, allowing the subscription to lapse, payment failure, changing plans, or later resubscribing may end eligibility for the Early Access price.

The anticipated standard price after Early Access is $5.99 per month for new subscriptions. We will disclose the price presented at checkout before purchase. Your actual subscription price, renewal terms, taxes, payment status, and available cancellation controls are maintained by Clerk and Stripe and shown in the Billing interface. Clerk and Stripe are the source of truth for subscription billing. Any future price change will apply as disclosed and as permitted by applicable law.

You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the displayed recurring amount and applicable taxes. You may cancel through the Account → Billing interface. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not retroactively erase charges already incurred, except where a refund is required by law or expressly provided by us.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Break the law, infringe rights, or use the service to harm another person.
• Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, subscriptions, rate limits, security, or infrastructure.
• Scrape, automate, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or data except as expressly permitted.
• Reverse engineer the service except where such a restriction is prohibited by law.
• Misrepresent Mammatus imagery or output as an official government warning or forecast.

Third-party services and data

Mammatus relies on third parties including Clerk, Stripe, Cloudflare, Mapbox, NOAA/NWS, Unidata, and other data providers. Their services, data, licenses, attribution requirements, terms, and privacy practices may apply. We do not control third-party availability or guarantee that any particular provider or dataset will remain available.

Ownership and permitted use

Mammatus Weather Web, its original interface, branding, software, and generated presentation are owned by Mammatus or its licensors. Weather and map data remain subject to the rights and attribution requirements of their respective providers. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for personal or internal business use while your account is authorized. Exported images must retain included branding and attribution.

Availability and termination

We may perform maintenance, impose reasonable limits, suspend access, or terminate the service or an account when necessary for security, legal compliance, provider requirements, nonpayment, or enforcement of these Terms. You may stop using the service and cancel an active subscription at any time through the available Billing controls.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and all weather or map information are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mammatus and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or losses caused by reliance on weather information, service interruption, provider failure, or unauthorized account access. Rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date will be updated when revised Terms are published. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
